Urgent!!! Tier 2 Dependent Visa for my son born in UK

Post by pehlaj » Thu Dec 08, 2016 12:36 pm

Hello,

I am in Tier 2 ( General) Visa, i have applied Tier 2 dependent visa for my son (who is born in UK) to Travel India. We returned back to UK and my visa expires on March and have to renew for 6 months to eligible for ILR. So my Query is

Should i renew my son visa as well? It will cost more money to renew for just 6 months and later along with my ILR he is eligible for British citizen. We don't have any plans to travel outside UK. So can he stay in UK without visa for 6 months and can apply British citizen after my approved ILR.

Please respond to this query at the earliest. Thanks

If he is an overstayer, then there may be complications with him using the NHS for free.

There may also be complications with his entitlement to register, if he's over 10.

How old is he?

If he is under ten, then his overstaying doesn't affect his entitlement to register, after a parent is granted ILR.

He could also get private health insurance so that he doesn't need to bother with using the NHS.
