Members are volunteers, some may be busy. I for example am writing Christmas cards and eating mince pies.

Stand by for someone to become available who is willing and able to respond.

It is not a scenario that we really get asked about so someone would probably have to do research. The only thread even remotely along the same lines is the link below, slightly different case to yours though.

Sorry to hear about your loss. But it follows that you are no longer married to a British Citizen, and accordingly you need to have held ILR for at least one year before making your Naturalisation application.

When you make your Naturalisation application, do make sure that you pass all the other rules, in particular that you were physically in the UK exactly five years before they receive your Naturalisation application.

If you want more detailed help, give details of your dates outside the UK since 1 October 2012? And the exact date of issue of your ILR?

Hi, time outside the UK not excessive. So I think you should plan to submit your application shortly after the 1st anniversary of the grant of your ILR on 12.10.16.

Given you were outside the UK "05 Dec 2012 to 22 Feb 2013 ", certainly do not submit the application during the period "05 Dec 2017 to 22 Feb 2018", because if you did that it would be an automatic fail.

So submit it sometime in the period say Monday 16 October 2017 to say Thursday 30 November 2017.

Hope this helps.

It is as simple as this. The question is, are you married to a British Citzen? The answer, very unfortunately, is no.

Accordingly the qualifying period is five years, and you need to have had your ILR for at least one year.
