Hi all,

This forum has been great help so far and I am almost ready with me PR application. Final questions I have are towards my previous studies.

So, I have arrived in the UK for my undergraduate studies (3 years), then worked 1 year, then postgraduate studies (1 year) and now 2.5+ years work.
My questions are as follows:

1. To the declaration confirming that I had enough financial resources whilst being a student- I understand that I write this myself and get a solicitor to witness it/ stamp it? Is that right? Do I need anything else? I have never used any UK social services such as NHS or benefits in all my time that I am in the UK…

2. As I lived off my dad’s credit card (in his name) and withdrew money which I have then paid into my account- I understand that I also need a confirmation from my dad confirming that he was supporting me. For evidence, I thought to include for each year of study one bank statement (total of 5 statements for each year where I studied each issued in a different month). The bank statement obviously showing his name and the balance? Do you think that is sufficient? Do you also think it needs to be translated into English from German, I think it’s obvious that it’s a bank statement and numbers mean the same in every language? Do you think that is enough for evidence or so I need anything more from my-side which is obviously very limited?

3. In regards to the CSI- I have not got my old EHIC’s, however I will get confirmation from the German national health insurance provider that I had a EHIC and CSI whilst studying in the UK. Will that be enough?

Are you applying in own right - as a student qualified person?
or are you applying as family dependent of sponsor/dad?

1) No need if applying as dependent.

2) How old were you during relevant period?
If under 21 no need to show dependency on sponsor.

If over 21 then papertrail required, since age 21.

3) May be enough.
But if a dependent of Union citizen (worker/selfemployed qualified person) no need for CSI.

I am applying as a hybrid- student and full time employed person, however just for myself (all my family lives in Germany).

I was over 21 so that's why I thought I need papertrail to proof my sponsor (dad) had enough funds?

So I guess I still need CSI proof?

If a worker in own right no need to prove funds.

If a student yes, proof of CSI required.

If applying as a dependent yes, proof of dependency on sponsor (but no CSI).

However, I still got questions to the CSI:

1) As I am applying on the basis of student and full time worker, do I need to to proof that I had CSI (EHIC) in the past when I was a student? Or will my current situation count only which is full time employed (since 2.5 years)?

2) On the basis that I am in full time work now, do I still need to include a declaration that when I was a student in the past that my intention was not to stay in the UK after my studies as I was covered under the EHIC and that my circumstances had changed? A bit confused about that aspect.

1) Yes, otherwise time as a student won't be counted.
Unless you had a student RC at the appropriate time.

2) Letter of intent not required in connection with PR applications (only for RC).
