Post by Ibrahim22 » Wed Jan 04, 2017 7:49 pm

Hi,
I would like to know the language requirements for someone applying for indefinite leave after 6 years discretionary leave.
Do you need to do life in the UK test.

English test exemptions

https://www.gov.uk/english-language/exemptions
Exemptions if you’re applying to settle

You don’t need to prove your knowledge of English if you’re applying as:

* someone living in the UK with discretionary leave
And page 7 in link below re Knowledge of Language and Life in the UK
