So painful.
Anyone in the same situation?
Hi all,

Just got a call from Home Office and was told that my case is still being processed by a caseworker and that there is nothing else they can tell me at the moment. I also asked if I could expect to hear something this year and the guy said I shouldn't :(
It has been 192 days now.
It is really frustrating.

They took my details to call me back. Hopefully I will either receive a response before they call or they will call to say a decision has been made.

Will keep you guys updated
HO call me back today and said that decision not made yet. We are really busy that's why it's take long . The only thing you can do which is wait . Anything from your side ama26

Update on my previous post.

Today I received the DCPR card. It was issued on December 22. All documents including the PR card came together in one parcel. I did not receive any "decision letter" prior to the PR card.

Application submitted: 14 July
Payment Taken: 19 July
Application Confirmation Email: 15 August
DCPR Issued: 22 December
DCPR Received: 30 December

Application Confirmation Email: 15 August

I know this is still within 6 months, however looking at other posts here I can see that most of the EEA nationals have already received their cards, even those who applied in August/September :/

Is any other EEA national waiting for their PRC who applied in July or is/was waiting for 5+ months?

I changed my address in August but I did notify Home Office about it (back in August). I also called them to make sure that I submit my new address details correctly and the guy on the phone walked me through where and how to do it on their website. So I assume I did it right...

Hello,
here is my timescale:
App sent out (the online route wasn't available yet): 19/09/2016 (next day delivery)
Fee deducted: 22/09/2016
Conf email received: 05/10/2016 (I was starting to fret)
PR card received: 21/12/2016
I received all the paperwork, my ID, and the PR card (and covering letter) in one parcel. Really nice Xmas present. :D
A huge thanks to noajthan for all the advice.
I will have to wait until the autumn to apply for citizenship, hopefully the process will have become more streamlined or the fee will have gone down a bit. I have already passed 'Life in the UK' and will schedule the language test in the coming months.
Best wishes for 2017 to everybody.

Good news indeed.

Glad you got over all the little gotchas (missing PAYE record, lost job contract etc).

Proof again of no need to panic, a case will be quietly wending its way through the system even if HO are not too hot on handholding and feedback.

Hi Everyone
Really helpful to see everyone's processing times, so I thought I'd share my experience. I have applied for PR as non-eea. My partner has had his EEA PR Card for over 5 years and we've included that to my application. Most recent development is as follows:

Application sent: 23rd June 2016
Application received: 24th June 2016
Biometric Request received: 27th Jul 2016
COA received: 2nd Aug 2016

One interesting detail is that despite my papers being sent via my solicitor and hence all correspondence should go via de solicitor, every letter so far has been sent directly to me at my home address. Not sure why that is.
Still waiting for return of documents and PRC despite the 6 months waiting time being expired, my solicitor has contacted them this week and they have informed him that the application is still under consideration so the only option is to wait. I expected some delay due to being holiday period and the increase number of applications but the wait beyond 6 months is beginning to cause considerable inconvenience. Has anyone got any suggestion of anything that can be done to expedite the procedure?

Good Luck and patience to everyone!

Hello, I've just received the confirmation email from UKVI, the one that included the case ID, so I'm updating my timeline. This was very fast, but it's probably because I requested passports straight after I saw on Royal Mail that UKVI received my application?

Hi everyone,
Has anyone who applied in June 2016 for non-EEA PR received the PR card already?

Here is my (non-EEA) and my husband's (EEA) application process:
Application sent on 27/06/2016
Received on 28/06/2016
Money deducted a week or so later
Bio Metric letter received 28/07/2016
COA on 09/08/2016
DCPR still waiting...
I called Home Office this Thu and was told that someone would call me back within 5 working days. They did yesterday to say that case worker was still looking into the application and would be in touch if required. I was also advised that we should just wait. No additional information was given away on the time frame...This is so frustrating! :x :?

Hi There,

Our timeline:
Application sent: 22 Nov 2016
Application received: 23 Nov 2016
Payment taken: 28 Nov 2016
Confirmation e-mail by HO: still waiting???
PR card: still waiting

Should I be worried that I haven't received a confirmation e-mail by the HO yet? Judging by other people's timelines this seems to come no longer than 1 month after sending the application.

Application sent 27 Sep 16
Received by HO and payment taken within a few days
Email confirmation from HO 14 Oct 25
Card, letter and all documentation including ID I had submitted received in a single parcel 9 Jan 17

So just over 3 months which I thought was quiet fast considering Christmas as well as Brexit volume but it seems many are receiving around this timeframe. I wish those still waiting patience and best of luck.

Dear all ,

Our EEA PR timeline below

Application received 4th of July 2016

Payment taken 7th of July 2016

Biometrics done 18th of august 2016

COA received 21st of August

Documents and PR Still waiting for EEA National and non EEA national .

Called Helpless helpdesk ample of times since end of 6 months wait which was 4th of January 2016 Of EEA contact center who do not know anything apart from generic information call after call they give conflictive information .They escalated to someone who had no clue about cases all she said from she is calling from UKBA she can only see the case is pending and its with case working team that is all she can tell and she has no control over any information any way forward to that .Her reply was it is only now a waiting game with no gurrantee she advised best would be write to the address from where COA has been generated I have sent numerous letters emails no response will keep trying and keep waiting which is seriously frustrating if we get any response we will surely keep you all posted .

It is now seriously taking well over 6 months and have few more freinds who on the same boat and calling each other over daily practice just to know if any one of us had received anything.

Good luck every one and we hope to have good news soon . :D

stanmore06 wrote:Hi noajthan, not sure if you read my actual initial post because it's regarding Permanent Residence card processing time containing my TIMELINE. And you'll notice I have read the thread you recommending as I have made that request through my solicitor and MP already. I was hoping you will be able to tell me something from your experience why an application could take over six months and what else other than the steps already taken I could further take. Veronicasilva's suggestion looks pretty good and I'm posting thos letters Monday. Lastly, my CoA was sent to me from the post decision team in Sheffield, does that mean anything? Thanks for your candid and prompt reply.
@stanmore06, my post was not to you - It was posted earlier and based on repeated cries for help but may have been missed by some members.
Unsurprising really as this is such a jumbled thread with multiple sub-themes in it.

Without someone 'on the inside' noone would know the internal workings of HO. Nor why HO are unable to meet any specified timelines.

Letters to HO should be a first resort not last resort. But in case of particular member its likely to have been coincidence that she wrote to HO and then result came.
Apart from hunches and gut-feel, all there is to go on is the HO internal guidance - which is the subject of the link posted.

I despair about questions about internal routing of mail before it leaves HO premises; whether from Durham or Sheffield or Timbuktu what does it matter. There is no evidence anything can be made of it nor read into it.
Hi Noajthan,
Just a quick update regarding my application. I received a notice of refusal due to lack of sufficient evidence of dependency being that I'm a child over 21. I was given right of appeal been a direct family member of an eea national. I have filed a notice of appeal. My concerns are the following:
My initial RC was obtained through my cousin back in 2010 (Italian national). I however did not apply for PR using her as my sponsor as she has not been in employment for most of her years in the UK been a mother of 4 and also on benefit for the most of the time. In my refusal letter this was not highlighted but do you reckon it was part of the reason for the refusal?
My mother however is working and exercising treaty rights which is the reason I used her as my sponsor instead but was not advised by my solicitor about this issue of proving dependency and now twice my application has been refused for the same reason with right of appeal. How can I establish this dependency if I do not have financial transaction from my mother to myself even though to be honest she does assist me sometimes financially it has not been through my bank account.
Lastly, my cousin is working at the moment what would you reckon be the best course of action for me to take. its a very painful and difficult position for me. I am also changing solicitor as I prepare for appeal. your advise would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
