few doubts, travelling on HSMP to UK

Post by lion686 » Mon Feb 04, 2008 4:52 am

Guys,

i wil be travelling on feb 10th to london on hsmp and i am goin thru my current company itself..

I have some doubts to clarify from people who had already gone to UK in this manner.

1) Is there any other document apart from HSMP approval letter & visa to be carried?
2) what sort of questios does immigration ask to us when we land there?
3) is ther anything else i shd take care while coming this way?

please post your thoughts or experience.

thanks
Lion

-> Only above documents... along with that keep the address handy where you are going to stay in UK....appointment letters ( if any )

3) is ther anything else i shd take care while coming this way?
-> as this is your first time, you need to undergo Xray for TB..... to save time in airport bring a TB xray along with lab report from India....

I thought the xray for TB was req only for ppl working or intend to work in the food industry and not for everyone...Or am I wrong?

As far as I know if your visa validity is more than 6 months from landing date in UK, you need chest x-Ray. In HSMP visa Immigration officer assumes you will be staying in UK for long time and hence it's required.

itsme,

Thanks for the answers.

I am already carrying a X-ray report with me as sugested by my employer and i dont see any harm in carrying this..

I had already travelled to UK last year in business visit & am pretty happy to be safe than sorry later.. :?

Is there any specific requirement for x-ray test? how many days prior report will be acceptable?
