To the best of my knowledge, they are no longer required. But wait for others to comment.imbik wrote:1- Does she still need an ''accession worker card'' (that given to Bulgarians and Romanians), If Yes, is it difficult to get one to work?
There is no minimum income requirement. But she must demonstrate that the work is "genuine and effective" and not "marginal and ancillary".imbik wrote:2- it seems she will need to earn enough income to be able to support our family in the UK. What is the acceptable amount of money in the UK for EEA Family Permit application?
She does not have to wait that long. She does not have to exercise treaty rights for the first three months. From the fourth month on, if she has not got a job, she can exercise her rights by being a self-sufficient person with private health insurance.imbik wrote:3- Can we apply as soon as she gets first payslip, a rented suitable house and home office registration?
It is irrelevant. It is your wife's exercise of treaty rights that is relevant.imbik wrote:4- Do I have to be working in our origin country during application or no one cares about my job status?
1) No.imbik wrote:Hello everyone,
My wife is a Bulgarian and the rest of the family (I and our 2 children) are non-EU citizens. We have been married for 20 years. She will move to UK and start working in January 2017 then we will apply for EEA Family Permit. Of course we researched and reached to tons of information, but we really need some accurate info regarding the following. Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Welcome.imbik wrote:Hello everyone,
OK, It is clear that we can apply to EEA Family permit and travel all together as a family, if accepted. We know she has 3 months to create a funding in the UK. Nevertheless, we are not sure about the following;
1- Neither my wife (Bulgarian citizen) nor I and our children (Turkish citizens) have been to UK before, so what my wife should write in letter of intent and application form? ( looking for a job, will be self-employed or nothing)
2- Do we have to mention about accommodation? (Hotel, house, etc.)
3- Do we need to go to Bulgaria and get an approval for our Turkish marriage?
Thanks in advance
Yes, one form each.imbik wrote:Thanks a lot. By the way, I was reviewing a guidance for VAF5 form and realized that each non-EU citizen in a family (including children under 18) should fill the form separately which means I will fill it 3 times, am I right?
Cordially
I've not registered and applied online as not had the need to do so (yet).imbik wrote:isn't there anyone who applied to an EEA Family permit for herself / himself and dependent children. As explained above we really need to know about how to apply separately for each non-EU family member.

Plenty of members have though, but probably cooking their dinners at the mo.
Stand by.
I'm not sure if non-EEA passports help or not; the main thing an EU/EEA sponsor has to prove apart from identity is that they are a Union citizen.imbik wrote:noajthan,
Have you had your dinner? Because here is my next mind-boggling question;
Does EU-citizen's second passport somehow matter for EEA family permit? I mean, my wife is Bulgarian but she also has Turkish passport like other family members and it says old passports and visas may be supportive. She has lots of visas in TR passport like us.
Anyway, enjoy your meal.
Hi,imbik wrote:and...finally we got the EEA FP for me and our 2 children. Sorry for not writing for 3 weeks, it took me long time to gather the necessary documents and to apply 3 times consecutively. Anyway, thanks a lot to anyone who helped us during the process. I reached to valuable information in this forum which encouraged me to apply ourselves.
Applying for spouse and 2 children ( under 21 ) was a tough but informative experience, so I can share any info with people who is in our situation. By the way, I will write all the steps we have taken when it is ready.
Have a good evening
Good job.imbik wrote:...
1- We will stay at our friend's house then find one for rent. Do we need to do something official in the UK or have any document before renting? I mean do house owners ask for anything that we may not have?
2- it seems applying to NINO is the first priority. Do we apply for each family member?
3- Do we need to have ( or to do) something in the UK before we apply for a bank account?
4- Do we need to have ( or to do) something in the UK before we find a school for our children?
5- Some people say, having a register in HO and the local police department is the first priority.
6- When our documents are ready, can we apply for a registration certificate (EEA nationals) and residence card (non-EEA nationals) at the same time?
7- Do I have to fill just 1 form for EEA(FM) application or 3 like I did for EEA Family permit?
8- How long my EEA national wife should be working before we apply for EEA(FM)?
Of course I am doing my own research daily but we are 4 person so any help is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Can you please provide the details of the documents you provided for the Family permit .imbik wrote:thanks a million I have already started to review the links.

I have red the guidance for each form. It says we can use the second form (FM for dependents) for both Registration certificate and residence card applications. But QP form also says it is for registration certificate.imbik wrote:7) QP for sponsor: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... orm-eea-qp
