How to delay appeal date

Hi , I am an asylum seeker. My claim was refused and and I appealed to the court. Now I have a date on 31st of Jan. It happened quickly. I got the date within a month. I don't have money to pay the lawyers and legal aid is a complex thing. And I need time to bring some evidences. Now I am looking forward to delay the date. Could anyone please advice how I can delay the date. It will be really helpful. Thanks.

Hi , please help me. Is there any ways to adjourn appeal date. It is impossible for me to bring evidence before the date.
