Tier 2 General Extension (Main and dependant) query

Post by iAvais » Mon Jan 16, 2017 10:16 pm

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for the tier 2 extension visa for me for my wife as my dependant in march as our visa run out in april 2017. I have following questions

In the Tier 2 visa guidance document following is stated.
clause 233.If during your stay under Tier 2, you wish to amend:
Tier 2 Policy Guidance (Version 11/2016) Page 57
 Your contact details; or
 Details of your criminal convictions; or
 Your representative’s details; or
 Your dependants details

As i moved to new location to the one where my first Tier 2 visa was issued. Do i necessarily need to inform the home office about current address?

Is there any maintenance funding requirement for 3 months? or salary slips for extension application?.

Is there a single application form both main and dependant ? or separate?

your help will be appreciated.

thanks

1. Yes, a change of address has to be reported to UKVI. Read this: https://www.gov.uk/change-circumstances ... have-a-brp

2. If you are extending with the same employer under the same SOC code, no need to show maintenance documents.

3. Separate applications (online).

Have you clicked on the link in moonlight55's post? The same requirement applies to your wife.

Thanks for replying.

I am just trying to find out the clause where it says no maintenance funds required for Tier 2 extension visa's(main and dependent), please provide the reference.

Also, the way to apply is online? I mean only one online form for Main and dependent? I couldn't find the pdf application forms to print out. It means I can't see the form until I decided to apply for it.

Please advice.

Thanks

There is no requirement to show any proof of maintenance as long as you have a valid leave or job. I have made a Tier 2 change in employer application where it is clearly mentioned that I don't need to show any proof for maintenance.

If you google Tier 2 leave to remain, you will get details on how to apply for a Tier 2 leave to remain.

You have to include yourself and any dependents in the same application form and post all the documents in one envelope. However, fees will be individual.
