Tier 2 - PBS Dependant to Tier 2 Main applicant

Post by Dbzdbz » Sat Jan 21, 2017 9:48 pm

Hello,

I am a tier 2 main applicant and my husband was on a PBS dependant visa. My job with my previous sponsor ended on the 16th of December 2016 after which they would have notified the home office to curtail my current visa. I have not received a curtailment letter and have not received any dates by which I must leave the country. My husband's company decided to make him a main applicant and applied for RCOS which was granted in the January cycle and he went to India to apply for his visa. He tried to submit through the premium application route but due to technical difficulties in sending biometric information through at the centre they asked him to come back the next day for his passport and visa. When he did they informed that his visa had not been sent back to the VFS office from the British High Commission yet. We thought since the RCOS was issued this would be a straight forward application as they take 6 days ( 5th -11th of every month to allocate the RCOS to the candidates), but the next he received an email from the high commission in India that his application processing is taking longer than expected and he should come to collect his passport when he has been notified. I am worried about a refusal although all grounds ( salary, maintenance, RLMT etc) have been covered and checked by a solicitor before submitting. I don't think a curtailment point could cause issue here as he is applying from the home country and we have not even received a letter informing us about the curtailment. He has been in the UK for 14 years but because he has left the country for much longer time when he was a student we can only apply for our ILR in 6months time . Is the high commission confused when they are looking at his application, should we be worried about any particular points?

I am not sure why there is a delay and are very worried, I too had secured a new job who are in the process of giving me my COS in a few days and have successfully completed their RLMT as well and we were planning to be on independent routes of visa incase any issue happens again in the future.

I am not sure about what to think, please advise if anyone knows about any solution here.

It is a standard email about delays. Many visa applicants get the email across various visa catergories.

Hi CR001

Thanks for the reply, I though so too until I came across some stupid typos that have been made on the application. I hope this won't harm the process any way, would you know if it does?

Hi There

The first typo was of the current postcode where we live, which is correctly written provided on a later part of the form , and the second was in the segment where it says if you have lived in other uk residences previously the instead of x march 2015 the form has x march 2016, does that matter a lot?

all other areas in the application are correct and the information provided on the COS was correct too, so I am hoping it would not be an issue.
