Investment directly from Personal account

Post by rupi85 » Tue Jan 24, 2017 11:32 am

Good Morning Everyone,
I am applying for my tier 1 extension in this week. I invest 57,000 pound in business. I bought mostly business related stuff from my personal account, the invoices are on my name and company name. Around 35,000 invest directly from personal account and rest i transferred in business account and then bought machinery etc. According to my accountant, it is investment and he made my all accounts .I just want you guys opinion as well , please let me know money invested from personal account is acceptable by home office?

What is your business structure?
Sole trader or limited company/director?

Investment initially expected by means of Director's Loan or Share Capital then.

Any previous investment in an existing business must be documented as per the Guidance;
for example, note paragraphs 100 & 103.

I don't think directly personal account investment is acceptable by home office but wait for seniors also .
Investment has to be from your business account . You have to transfer all the investment from your personal account to business which can easily identifiable transaction to your business account with your name . You will also need to provide the Directors loan agreement & as well as on your annual accounts also shows amount you have invested in terms of directors loan. Search the forums there are plenty of topics related to your query .
I am not perfect But I guess no one is ever perfect . We all make mistakes and learn from them. Never give up keep trying until you succeed.

Invesment

Investment claiming point through director loan is three form of documents accept by UKVI which is annual accounts and business bank statement transaction long with director loan agreement.
Any investment need to transfer to business bank from where some one spend there.
Strong commitment, extreme faith and honesty will recognize your existence.

In my understanding if you are showing investment as diarector loan , the investment money should transfer from personal account to business acc .

As you are planning to apply in a week time i think its better you transfer another 30 k as investment to your business acc from your personal acc. OR else you should show your investment as Sharecapital , in that case you dont have to send the bank statement to prove the money transfer.

dear senior members please correct me if i am wrong...

No it is not acceptable if you are applying via DL. As other pointed out, money must be transferred to the business first before being spent

Get decent accountant.
She will sort it out.
Check/understand what she does.
Crosscheck and verify against Guidance.
Pay accountant fee (tax deductible).
Submit application.

Thanks to all you for good advice.
As you all suggest me that investment should me from business account. My visa expire end of February. I was working on your advice. Now i am manage to do what you all said. if i transfer 30 k from my personal account to business account. Then it will be fine. I do not need any thing (machines) for business now or is it necessary to spend all money ? It will still consider as an investment.
Now i have to prepare my account till February?

Yes, no problem
2) Nearly 10,000 my brother transfer to my account this week, is it ok?
Yes, as long as YOU invest it personally in the business account
3) Some one told me investment should be 3 months before but i have not see anything on UKBA website. so we can invest even one day before Visa expire?
There is no UKBA any more it is UKVI. :!:
You can invest until your visa expires but you must also prepare accounts, DL, etc so you need some time to do those.

Thanks dear Zimba
Yes i will personally transfer the money from my personal account to business account. I spoke with accountant he said he will do everything in short time. I have 20 -25 days. I think so i will able to do.
I want to ask you one more question I paid my office deposit before opening my business account, does it count in Director loan investment or not?
