Child Born In uk or Abroad - Tier 1

Post by saeed123 » Fri Jan 27, 2017 12:33 pm

Dear All ,
Please help me to understand ,
I understand a child born in uk can apply for british passport after the main applicant get the ILR .

If the child was born outside UK , and the tier 1 main applicant apply for ILR under Tier 1 5 year route , what visa should apply for the child ? how many years should stay in uk for that child to apply for ILR?

No, a child born in UK before parent is settled may register as a citizen once one parent is settled.
Section 1(3) BNA.

Same visa as least-privileged parent.
No formalised time limit but older teens expected to spend 2+ years in UK.
Section 3(1) BNA.

It takes 5 years to get ILR.

PBS dependent extension.
