Question about CSI (Compulsory sickness inson PR application

Post by cha99jcn » Sun Jan 29, 2017 7:09 pm

My wife is currently trying to fill in her PR form, and I am a full UK citizen. Her details are:-

2005-2007 Entered UK as a Polish national and worked self employed (for a translation company) whilst being a part-time student at university.

2007-2010 Worked full time self employed with the same translating company.

2010-2013 Became a full time student to train as a midwife and continued to work part time hours for previous job.

2013-Present In full time employment for the NHS

In the form it asks for evidence of CSI during any time as a student but my wife didn't know of this at the time. Can anybody help with what we should put down in the form as it's something that was in the past and purchasing CSI now wouldn't make a difference. Many thanks for any help.

If no CSI just report no CSI.
Any foreign EHIC?
Or RC issued as a student before 2011?

And there's a chance wife may have acquired PR 2005-2010.
Caseworker will figure it out.

Thanks for the reply. No foreign EHIC just through UK. What's RC stand for?

So, if wife did not have PR by 2010, the lack of CSI as a student will have stopped the PR clock and reset it to zero.
That is if work was marginal whilst studying.

Clock will have restarted with work and needs to run 5 years.
Say to 2018, luckily UK will still be in EU even then.

Ah right, that's a kick in the teeth as yes the work was part time hours during the period as a student. So do you think it might be possible to go down the spousal route instead?
