Time taken to send curtailment letter

Post by rubyracer2 » Tue Feb 14, 2017 3:12 pm

Hi everyone,

On average how long does it take for the Home Office to send out the curtailment letter from the time of reporting. There are no timelines mentioned on the site.

Thanks in advance!

Because there aren't any timelines and it really varies greatly.

+1
The how long is a piece of string question is the old version of events.
If you were to receive your curtailment letter less than 10 weeks from the date of repotting that would be a fast turnaround, 12-16 weeks is pretty good, up to 20 weeks is not exceptional.

The curtailment speed varies and other factors come into play such as the curtailment of tier 4 students. If a large educational establishment is revoked tier 4 students will get curtailed ahead of the tier 2 queue.

Thanks CR001 and FrontierMole, I'll update this thread once i receive the letter for other folks searching.

Also if my understanding is correct, all I need to do is make a fresh application before the curtailment date, but don't need the leave to be approved before the date?

And if said application is rejected after curtailment date, do I have to leave the country immediately?

Thanks in advance1
