Tier 4 student visa and my BRP written "No Public Fund"

Post by alex132 » Fri Mar 03, 2017 8:10 pm

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am having a Tier 4 student visa and my BRP written "No Public Fund".

1. Is it similar to all Tier 4 student visa?
2. No Public Fund means I cannot claim for Housing Benefit, Job seeker allowance, and also Council Tax for student?

Thank you so much!

I don't understand what you are asking. If you have a tier 4 student visa then that is what you have.
2. No Public Fund means I cannot claim for Housing Benefit, Job seeker allowance, and also Council Tax for student?
You cannot claim any benefits. The only thing you can get is a council tax discount etc as you are a student.

Sorry for making confusion in my question.

1. Is all Tier 4 student visa having "No Public Fund" in their BRP?

2. So Tier 4 student visa cannot claim for any benefits (housing benefit, job seeker allowance). The only can claim benefit is council tax waived for student.
