Tier 1 200o decisions made from Sheffield S3 8WA?

Post by n8net » Tue Mar 14, 2017 1:43 pm

Those who got Tier 1 Ent Extension decisions could you please confirm the letter has been sent from the following address please ?

Sheffield
S3 8WA

This is for me to understand there 200k extension application being considered for the last 9 months ?

PS: Mods, before you start locking this thread, just because I have another thread in ILR forum, please note that is purely related to Tier 1 Extension as such it does not belong there and I am likely to get response here..thanks

You have been asking this on several threads :!:
No one can tell you where the decision is being made on extension applications. This is not an HO forum and we do not have access to the internal workings of the decision making process.

what I have been asking is for the people who got decision letter, as there will be adddress from which that had been sent, if all had been sent from Sheffield, we can reasonable conclude the passport needed to vary to ILR is in Sheffield and hence I can book a same-day service there thereby increasing the chances of same-day decision.

hopefully, you will understand the rationale here....

also, could you please comment on my other thread as to if there are any risks of varying to ILR from Tier 1 please ?

Thanks a lot.

Even if that is the case, the long wait (9 months) on such a case usually means that probably a same day ILR application will not be possible either.
Th application has certainly raised serious issues that needed lengthy investigations by HO :!:

I would like to respectfully disagree.

Just because an application is taking long, does not mean there are "serious" issues..does it ?
it could also well be the case, it is in the back-log, I would like to believe it is the latter as evidenced by some people who managed to get a decision after a nudge from local MPs.

The reason, I like confirmation is to make an informed decision. If majority of the applications are decided in Sheffield it just increases- the chances of same-day decsion compared to going for Belfast for example.

So, could you kindly confirm the address in your decision letter please...I know it was some years ago, but if recent decision-receivers do not confirm, I can atleast have one confirmation.

thanks

It is not up to you to decide what HO regards as questionable and how they handle this. They also do not tell you why your application is taking so long.
There is no reason for them to delay an application for 9 months. There are many extension application made recently and reported here, most of which are granted within 2-3 months without even an interview.
Also there is no conclusive evidence that proves MP intervention has any effect on the process of a visa application.

It is very highly likely Sheffield. However there is NO grantee that an ILR will be granted on the same day even if the documents are there and you apply there.

I understand there is no gurantee..just saying going to Sheffied increases the chance.

also correctly if I am wrong, while decions are coming through quickly, it was not the case for people who applied mid 2016, (April/May/june) to receive decive decision so quickly...it is unheard of..

We need to conclude this topic as there is not much to discuss further to be honest. To conclude:

- You better book an appointment at Sheffield PEO and vary the prior Tier 1E extension application to SET(LR)
- The ILR will not necessarily be granted same day, as documents might not be there, the case is complex, etc
- Questions around your case cannot be fully answered here with any accuracy or confidence as we have no internal HO information

You have a parallel thread going on at the ILR forum too: indefinite-leave-to-remain/varying-tier ... 26920.html

Hi Zimba,

where did u get the idea that I am seeking answers about my case.here .and u think I mistaking this for HO forum ?!?

I was merely seeking confirmation from atleast one that they got their decision from S3 8WA...after so many posts got none.. :(

you among all others hav got Tier 1 decision and I am not sure why you were not willing to confirm it..

may be you do not have that letter...or for whatever reason you do not want to share it in which case I fully respect that...

but, if anyone willing to just confirm me, their decisons came from S3 8WA...that is all I am looking for.

Thanks

I do not think it is wrong for you asking your question especially when you are trying to form a correlation in making an informed future decision. But, most of the time, the moderators don't get it and they seem to quickly assume one is seeking an irrelevant answers and lock the link.

As fellow Moderator has said, concluded then.
