I can not believe it has been received at London, 2 weeks quicker than I estimated. Below is the copy paste from OCI status page:

Can we go to Gosewell Road VFS office anytime or there are any specific time window? I remember at PAD VFS office, it used to be 3-5PM.

Its walk-in anytime to submit your passport and envelope. I recently submitted mine at 9am.

I got my originals back on Saturday 11th March, but online status still showing same as before 'no such record found'.
I have booked my tickets as well for last week of April.
I can't see, OCI processed by that time, planning to apply for 6 months tourist visa for my little one, as she is going to stay there till August.

India High commission customer server is also not helpful and are not giving a date.
They are asking to email to know the status and if we email then there is no update

Hi,

I have applied on 13th Jan 2017, received my originals back on 11th March, and acknowledgement showing on online status enquiry page dated 22nd March. I got an automatic email OCI portal on 22nd March stating OCI Under Processing.
I was told the whole process taking around 4 months through Edinburgh CGI.

It's really frustrating and disappointing the way they are dealing with it. The process crossing a four month period. Please let me know when your application is approved, so at least I get idea how long the current process is taking.

Exactly 3 weeks from date of acknowledgement to finishing processing.
Online status also shows the OCI number assigned.
Now just need to see how quick I receive it at London.

I have submitted the UK passport this Wednesday..

In general edinburgh high commission is very slow...
it takes 3 months at least
