10 years employment rule

Post by Angie77 » Sun Apr 02, 2017 5:52 pm

Posting on behalf of my husband.

He arrived in UK for the first time in 2002 and worked for the whole time he was here. However it was not consistently as he went back to our birth country and came back to the UK several times until 2010 when we moved to the UK permanently and has been living and working here ever since.
AN form says to provide last 10 years of employment and evidence to back this up. However we only hold evidence of employment since 2010 when we decided to move permanently to the UK.
Is that really necessary to send evidence before 2010? What should we do in this case as we do not hold it?

thanks in advance for help

Form AN asks the applicant to list their employment for the last 10 years (if the applicant has been here that long) or for the period they have been here.

Evidence of last 5 years work required (P60's?) plus DCPR obviously.

Thanks for your reply
Have I misunderstood? Because I thought it says to send evidence to support this claim. Is this not compulsory?

1.48 - 1.50 You must provide details of all your National Insurance contributions
made for your current and previous employment during the past 10 years. To support
this claim evidence can be in the form of payslips, P60s covering the relevant period,
or a letter(s) from the employer(s) confirming you have worked for them, from the
start and finish date.

Submitting the 5 years preceding the application should be sufficient. Many members have reported applying through NCS and NCS not taking the P60's.
