Urgent help requested with a ILR/BRP situation

Hello

My mother has lived in the UK for over 20 years and is married to a British citizen. She has indefinite leave to remain. She has the right to work, a national insurance number etc.

She has not been abroad for many years and has lost her foreign passport with the ILR stamp and has no paperwork to prove this whatsoever.

She has now got a replacement passport from her own country but cannot go abroad as she has no means of getting back into the united kingdom and cannot get another stamp and needs the biometric residence permit.

My first question: as she needs to visit her home country urgently, will she be able to come back into the country without a biometric residence permit even though she has ILR. Can this be proved by border officials/will they allow her in at the gate or is it an outright refusal.

Will she be eligible for the fast track biometric residence permit even though she has no proof of her indefinite leave to remain. If not, how can this be obtained and is it even needed for an application.

My other question which is not so urgent is that as she has been here for such a long period of time, how easy is it for her to now obtain British citizenship. Will she still have to sit a life in the UK test or have a minimum salary/savings?

If she travels without proof of having ILR, then they may refuse her leave to enter when she returns. She may even have difficulties in boarding a plane to fly back. She shouldn't travel before sorting this out.

Firstly I have been looking further into the koll/test and she is not old enough to be exempted. I looked further into the test and even I have found the practice questions difficult so I think we will leave naturalisation for now as it is not a priority.

I have been digging further and stumbled upon reams of paper work this morning from the home office stating that a SAR request has been performed in the past I'm not sure why yet but it states that she has ILR on it and the dates she received it and at which airport she arrived at etc.

Now I have looked at the attached link and there are similarities between the situations but she has not been away from the country for 2 years so we are not in the same situation.

Now, with the sar, would this be proof of her having ILR or do I need further official documentation of the ILR to make a fast track biometric residence permit application.

Secondly, if she travels with the sar request would this be adequate proof to allow her back into the united kingdom this one time?

SAR may help with NTL application.
But I doubt that it will airlines will accept it.
