UK Spouse visa from Philippines

Post by prolife » Thu Mar 02, 2017 6:11 pm

My wife will apply for UK spouse visa from Philippines. I will appreciate your help. Thanks

1) Online visa application asks about her employment details in Philippines, like employer name/address, salary etc. Does she need to get an employment letter from employer and submit with application to support employment details? Does she also need to submit payslips, tax returns etc, as visa form is asking her salary after tax?

2) VFS Manila will take biometrics. Does she still need to submit her photograph as per UKVI guidelines?

3) I am British citizen. Do I need to send certified copy of my passport biopage? Or a simple photocopy is sufficient?

4) For accommodation requirement in UK, I own a house in UK. Is it ok if she submits photocopy of Land Registry, OR does it need to be certified?

5) For financial requirement, I will send UK bank statement with cash savings of more than £100k. I read in Appendix FM1.7 that I need to send declaration for source of cash savings. Do I need to send a separate letter mentioning my savings are from previous employment in UK with my signature?

6) If I am sponsor and sending UK bank statements with cash savings, does my wife need to include her bank statements from Philippines too? I am asking because Appendix 2 asks about her cash savings too.

1) No need for letters or evidence, just fill the online form in. UKVI are only concerned about the sponsors employment for spouse visa.

2) Yes passport photo is required.

3) Certified copies required of all pages of the passport I believe but wait for someone else to confirm.

4) You can download and print a copy of the title register from the land registry website. We used this and it was accepted, costs £3.
If there are others living in the property you will need evidence that it is not overcrowded.

5) If you have evidence like a papertrail of where the savings came from it would be better to include this. Savings need to have been in an accessible bank account under your control for 6 months.

6) No need for wife's statements as your savings will cover the FR. Just complete the online part on the form. Statements should be no older than 28 days when you submit the application.

I have copy of title register from Land Registry, but it has a date of 2 years ago, as that's the time I bought house. Can I still use this, or do I need get new copy of Land Registry showing recent date? Thanks

For the sake of £3, I would get a more recent copy. (At the time we applied I had bought my house 20 yrs previously so we erred on the side of caution.)

Few questions for spouse visa application from Manila. Thanks

1) Do we need to put signature on Appendix 2? There is no box asking for signature though

2) Is PSA copy of marriage certificate from Philippines enough proof of being married? Shall I also include marriage contract (not PSA copy), marriage license, pre-marriage counselling certificate, affirmation of marital status from British embassy in manila?

3) Can UK sponsor take good picture of his UK passport biopage and send by email to visa applicant, who can then print and include with visa application? OR does it need to sent by post?

4) Shall we include all pages of UK sponsor's passport including blank pages?

5) Does anyone has format of sponsorship letter?

6) Who writes the letter explaining relationship? UK sponsor Or visa applicant Or both?

7) Do we write name on back of visa applicant photos?

8) Do we need to submit passport size photos of UK sponsor too?

9) UK sponsor was divorced before, so shall we submit his original divorce certificate? OR photocopies are enough?

10) CFO certificate need to be included with visa application?

Spouse Visa from Philippines

Few questions for spouse visa from Philippines.

* Pdf copy of online application has a space for photo. Do I need to put photo there by staple or glue?

* Pdf copy of online application has a space to write date by hand. Which date shall I write? I submitted online application on 04Apr, payment on 05Apr, visa appointment on 04May, Sheffield office might receive on another date.

* If I use optional courier service at VFS Manila, will they accept cash, OR shall I pay online on vfsglobal website? I prefer cash though.

* My sponsor will send supporting documents to Sheffield. On visa appointment date, shall I still bring Appendix 2, and photocopies of supporting documents (TB/English/Marriage certificate etc)?

* After online submission of application, on the front page, all sections are green, but last 2 sections (Commercial partner and Print application) are still black. Is that normal?

* My sponsor will send supporting documents to Sheffield, does sponsor need to send his original passport?
