I am a Brit with a non-EU fiancee who is about to apply for a spouse visa to enter the UK to marry me later this year.
The spouse visa application form asks for evidence of intent to get married to be provided. According to the Gov.uk website to give notice to the Registrar both parties must be present at the registry office. Clearly that is not possible without first having a spouse visa to enter the UK, so there must be some other evidence that is acceptable for the visa application. Does anyone know the answer to this issue?
Thank you for your help,
David
