spouse visa extension (need advise)

Hi members,
could you please me that my (non-EEA) wife's spouse visa is going to be expire on 7th Feb 2018. Her new IELTS life skill exam already done . Need to apply for extension, to complete the 5 years period. So when I should apply for the extension? Need advice

how late she can apply and how early she can apply for the extension, if somebody can tell me please. thanks

Your wife should apply for FLR(M) no earlier than 28 days before completing 2.5 years of residence.

This is to avoid having to apply for an additional extension in order to make up for any shortfall prior to applying for ILR.

First of all thanks very much for your reply.

7th Nov 2017, the 2.5 years will be completed. The visa is expiring on 7th Feb 2018. I got your point about the earliest date. So if you can tell me that how late she can apply?

She can apply up until the expiry date if she chooses to do so.

Could you please tell me that which application form she has to use to apply for the spouse visa extension? and we have to apply for the visa extension for our 2 years old daughter as well, who also came in UK with my wife at same time. And if you can tell the me the application form for my daughter as well.

FLR(M). You only need ONE form as daughter is included on mothers form.
