Switching from tier 4 to Tier 2 / COS

Hello, I was applying for a switch from tier 4 to tier 2 visa, but the sponsor company who is sponsoring me is renewing the license, after which they will be able to assign cos to me( which is Confirmed) but I need to send the application before my current visa expires.

And was wondering if the application can be made and the COS Reference can be sent along with my physical documents later.

Also, I wanted to check if I have to ask the sponsor to generate a restricted COS or Unrestricted COS?

You will not be able to finish the online application to submit if you DO NOT have the CoS details to put in.

I have the licence number and i have managed to complete the application, I just need to pay the IHS and submit, but I want to be sure if it can be done?

How did you answer the question about your COS?
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
