In-country Tier 2 application timelines

Post by Varry » Thu Apr 13, 2017 5:34 pm

Hi All,

Please can you advice with my issue.

I applied for a Tier 2 Visa extension - Change of employment. I haven't received any update from home office regarding my visa approval.

Details of my application

Application date : 25/01/2017
Bio metrics given: 08/02/2017
Letter received from home office: 25/02/2017 (informing about the delay and complexity in the application, unable to decide in 8 weeks.)
COS valid from: 22/01/2017
COS valid to: 23/04/2017
Letter sent to case worker on 03/03/2017 and 30/03/2017 requesting application status and to change to priority application. No response received.
Current visa from old employer valid till: 17/04/2017
Last working day with old employer: 23/02/2017
I have called home office few times, requesting to provide any details and suggest on when I will be receiving my visa, but not help.

I am waiting to start my new job with my new employer. Can I request for NOC to start my new job from home office?
Shall I with draw my existing application and go for premium service whilst my current visa expiring on 17/04/2017 - do this impact my further application for settlement.
Is there a way to change my existing online application to priority or premium service to speed up the process?

Why did you leave your previous job before having your new visa in hand?

Nothing will happen now till after Easter and there is nothing you can do. Once your visa expires on Monday, it will be more difficult as currently you are covered by Section 3C, which will lapse immediately if you withdraw your application and your current visa has expired.
