Missing supporting documents, PLS help!

Hi guys,
I recently applied for my 17 years old British nationality using MN1, I registered under section 3(1).
I sent everything off yesterday and have been thinking about the application a lot. I mean it's a lot of money and I'm scared of he gets rejected as he's got indefinite leave to enter child settlement visa under 18 and my name is shown beside the visa type on his foreign passport.

I'm sorry for blabbing on. The reason why I'm scared is because of the birth certificate, I gave it to him to give to his football coach when he first arrived and since then I haven't seen the birth certidacte. He said to me he can't remember his coach giving it back to him, deep down I think he misplaced it in my previous house.

Although, I have a copy I copied ages ago, I attached the copied one to the application hoping HO will have on in their system (I submitted the original one to immigration prior to him applying for his visa to join me here.

My question is, is this application going to be refused based on that? I can't get hold of another birth certificate because it will be hell. Getting a birth certificate in a local area in Africa is very hard! I will need to spend lots of money and he might even have to travel there too..... it's confusing and I don't know what to do. Guys please, what do you think?
