National Visa Center processing times?

It just never ends, does it?
My boyfriend just got approved by USCIS for a O visa -- this is an artist of extraordinary ability visa, he had to file an I129. He paid for premium processing, so it took about three weeks, including a request for more evidence.
Anyway, we were trying to figure out when he can come back and I called USCIS and they informed me of the NEXT step, which is that the NVC has to process the approval and send it to the embassy in Switzerland (where he is). I called their automated system, and even though the approval came through about a week ago, it says they haven't received it yet.
Anybody know anything about the time it takes for this step? Or somewhere to find out? I tried their web site, and it wasn't very informative.
