*Help Me Please* Can I use Bonus for Spouse Visa?

Post by b1234567 » Tue Apr 25, 2017 8:49 pm

hello guys,

I'm applying for a spouse visa for my Mrs whom I will be sponsoring. I live in the UK, she's from Pakistan.

I've tried to do so much research on this topic but I just don't seem to find one clear-cut answer. I work in retail for a mobile phone network, and on top of my basic pay of £1400 I also get the opportunity to earn up to a further £750 as a bonus if all targets are met. My basic pay doesn't push me over the minimum financial requirement of £18,600 but if I was to count bonus pay that I've been receiving in the 6months prior to the date of application then I do meet the minimum requirement.

1) Can I use bonus pay to make up the financial requirement or not?
2) I have sufficient savings which I can use for the application too, can I apply using the savings too as a backup or can I only rely on one source for the financial requirement?
3) Supposing I can use my bonus which would push me over the minimum requirement, which category do I apply under? I've been with the same employer for six months.

*HELP PlZ*Spouse Visa Financial Requirement

Post by b1234567 » Wed Apr 26, 2017 1:50 pm

Hi Guys,

I'm hoping one of you can give me a hand with this as I'm getting so confused.

I'm looking to apply for a Spouse visa for my wife who is currently in Pakistan and I am a British Citizen living in the U.K.

I'm getting really confused with the financial requirement and whether or not I meet it and which figure I need to be relying upon as my pay changed.

So here's my scenario:

I started working for this company in December 2016, meaning the end of May 2017 would complete my six months with this company. For the first three months, I was earning an annual gross salary of £17,576.00 (£1,464.00/month).After successful completion of my work probationary period, it rises to £18,030.00 (this rise happened in march 2017 at £1,502.00/month). I plan to submit my application in July 2017. So which amount am I relying on....£17,576.00 or £18,030.00?

As well as this, for the months February and March, I earned bonus pay on top of my basic pay. Feb was £650 bonus and Mar was £712. DO I MEET THE REQUIREMENT?

As well as this, on the appendix 2 form, Part 3A question 3.11 says "what it your sponsor's annual income from this employment before tax? With the figures shown above, what would I be putting in this box?

I'd really appreciate some guidance on this as I've been going back and forth on this for so long. I've read the guidance notes but the wording just confuses me even more.

Thankyou in advance :)

10389.23/6×12= 20778.46

You can meet requirement and I think same should be annual income to write there.

Thankyou so much Seagul, that's really helpful. However, because of the variable income, which category should I be applying under? Category A or B on the Appendix 2?

If you are with same employer from 6 months then should be category A non salaried (variable income). Try to indicate the route in additional information section on form as how you calculated.

The thing is my employment is actually salaried, I dunno why it's been variable, so should it still be Cat A?

If you claim salaried then HO will take the lowest wages figure in last 6 months which is 1450.03 which will fail you to meet financial requirement.

2weeks to hand in supporting documents... from when?

Post by b1234567 » Thu May 11, 2017 10:02 pm

Hi guys,

Just a quick one, I'm sponsoring my wife from Pakistan and looking to apply online later this month. What I wanted to know is when does the "two weeks to hand in documents to Sheffield" actually start? When I do the application online...or when my wife visits the application centre?

Also, what documents are necessary for her to keep for when she visits the application centre? I'm just trying to work out what documents she can send to me in England so I can start compiling stuff together. I'm referring to stuff like marriage certificates, TB test certificate, language test certificate, etc.

One last thing, if I do the online application in England, does she need to take a copy of the printout? Is it easier if she submits and prints it out from her end then signs and posts it to me in England?

Thanks guys, means a lot.

Biometrics...just a quick one

Post by b1234567 » Sat May 13, 2017 7:02 am

Hello,

I'm applying for a spouse visa for my wife who is currently in Pakistan. In terms of enrolling biometrics, is this a separate booking that must be done or is this something she will do when she goes to the application centre?

Slightly confused as a lot of threads here speak about biometrics enrolment as if it's done on a separate occasion to submitting the passport at the application centre.

Spouse Visa UK - Priority Service + Structure/Order

Post by b1234567 » Sun May 21, 2017 8:52 pm

Good Evening,

Hopefully just a quick one that someone might be able to assist with.

In my cover letter, should I include that I've paid for the priority service and should I be providing the ECO with confirmation emails or how does it work? How do they know who's paid for priority and who hasn't?

Also, has anyone got a structure/order in which the documents should be placed? What should go where in the pile of documents I'm gonna be sending?

Thankyou!

Hello,

I'm looking to apply online on Sunday 28th May however I'm still waiting on a response to my above query, can someone who has used the priority service let me know how it works in terms of paying for it online and sending receipts to Sheffield or what the actual process is please?

Thankyou so much

Sorry for bringing it up again, I'm just really running out of time!!

Appendix 2 Query

Post by b1234567 » Wed Jun 07, 2017 4:16 pm

I was just reviewing the appendix 2 I have filled in for my wife's application to join me in the UK from Pakistan. On the first page of this appendix, just before the first question, it states

"You MUST also complete and submit the main Personal Details Form (VAF4A). Failure to do so will delay your application."

My confusion arises from the fact that no one on any forum I've read has mentioned this other form. Am I supposed to be filling this in? I submitted an application online so is this something that should be ignored or should I fill in this Personal Detail Form (VAF4A) and send along with supporting documents?

Would appreciate some guidance.

supporting documents haven't been returned yet...is this nor

Post by b1234567 » Fri Aug 04, 2017 7:58 am

My wife submitted her biometrics from Mirpur, Pakistan on 07/06/2017.
This is for a spouse visa to join me ( British citizen) in the U.K.

I sent the supporting documents on the 14/06/2017 and they were received at Sheffield on 15/06/2017 as per the Royal Mail tracking.

The thing that worries me is that the supporting documents I sent still haven't been returned to me...yet from looking at the timeline updates of others, there are applicants who sent their documents after I did, who have already received them back. I sent the documents to the relevant address as per the guidance on the HO website. I just wanna know if this is normal or should I be worrying? 30/08/2017 will mark 60 working days but there's so many people who have had their supporting documents sent back within a couple of weeks. For me, it's been 8weeks and still haven't had them back, what should I do?

Thank You in advance :)

Post by b1234567 » Sat Aug 05, 2017 8:57 am

I've tried emailing them for an update but they haven't responded just yet.

I think that's all that we can try tbh...good luck!
