Uk family settlement visa

Hi I am a usa national married to a british wife for 9 years. We have a 8 year old daughter together they are both in uk while I am waiting for my visa. My priority settlement application paperwork arrived in Sheffield april 4th 2017 and I have not received any news or status of my application. When I call the information uk phone line All they tell me is that it is being reviewed. However I never got any information from Sheffield telling me that it arrived.or is being worked on. I did pay priority fee but it seems like its taking forever. My wife and daughter have been apart from me since November 2016 and I am alone in the usa waiting patiently for the visa. Please help. What can I do besides wait?
