Can spouse apply for dependent visa during my BC applicatio?

Hi, I couldn't find similar case in FAQ, hence posting here. I am about to apply for my BC. However my spouse who has tier 2 visa is considering applying for dependent visa as he may have to go back owing to cooling off period. Should I hold onto applying my BC and apply for dependent visa for him first? His tier2 ext expires oafter 3 months. He has been in UK for almost 5 years now.
Pls could you advise ?

He can apply whenever as long as he does before his visa expires.he can apply in person. It's the same visa whether you have ILR or are BC.

Suggest you apply for BC via NCS token your original documents or he applies in person.

Thank you CR001 for your reply and suggestions. Pls correct me if I got it wrong. You are saying that
1. if I apply via NCS, I will get by original documents back and then he can his dependent visa before his visa expires either in person or via postal application.
2. If I apply my BC via postal application, he cannot apply his dependent visa as I will be sending my original documents alongwith my application.
