Spouse Visa Question

Post by rai75 » Sun May 21, 2017 8:07 pm

I have applied for my wife to come to england via the spouse visa.

How long does it take to get a decision? someone said 90days.

Does you exclude weekends in the 90 days? what about holiday, as there are so many in India are they exclude too?

Can you advise as I can not track the progress

thanks

The current published decision time for applications from India as recorded in February is 100% decided in 60 days. That is working days excluding Bank Holidays and weekends so 12 weeks. You can check by country and VAC on gov.uk - Visa processing time.

However, there seems to be a delay in processing some applications at the moment regardless of where the application was made. However, it is unclear as to what the actual grounds are. There is a lot of speculation on this site but I don't think anything is officially confirmed.

Did you pay for priority?

Did not know about priority - just got my solicitor sort it out but he is not much help.

Just says wait.

When you say working days are we talking about UK working days - as India have a lot of holiday day.

It's UK working days. So Indian holidays do not matter.

Good Luck

I'm not an expert and only answer from my personal experience and understanding of the rules. Spouse Settlement Visa Granted for my wife July 2017. You should not take my advice as absolute.
