IHS Refund

Post by nsw » Tue May 23, 2017 3:14 pm

Hi
I was on Tier 2 Sponsored visa in 2016 now on ILR. My daughter was born in UK. After 4 months of her birth my wife had to go to India with daughter so we got Indian passport made from UK embassy. To return we applied for UK Tier 2 Dependant Visa and had to pay IHS as website did not allow to book visa appointment without paying IHS. I have checked the IHS website (https://www.immigration-health-surcharg ... ecker/type) and legally we did not need to pay IHS but as appointment was important to book to return from India as air tickets were already booked we paid IHS anyways. I have been following this up with UKVI since last 9 month with no proper response for refund. I don't know what else to do to get the refund. Please help. Thanks.

Why do you claim legally you were not required to pay IHS?

I am asking why you believe you DO NOT have to pay??

Why do you think you are exempt??

I am not believing anything. The website itself states : IHS not required for children born in UK & for children below 3 years of age!
