Did she apply Retention ?gorgeous wrote:How does that work guys? Is it easily approved once you've been here paying taxes together with you ex-partner for 3 years? I know a friend that is in this situation but she's afraid to get divorced and they don't accept it.
She didn't as they are are still married. She's scared that she might lose her visa if they separate and immigration decides not to give her the retention. Base on Divorce or Base on Departure from state after 3 years .
If she was in marriage more than 3 years, and at least 1 of them they lived in Ireland, at the moment of applying for divorce, she can apply for retention of her 5 year residence card on her own rights (if EU citizen is still in state and exercising EU rights in states (works, studying, etc), if not - there might be implications.gorgeous wrote:She didn't as they are are still married.
