Did any one approved Retention of stamp 5 base on divorce.
When you get first acknowledgement letter
What is time line

I applied in November 2015, got approved in January 2016

How does that work guys? Is it easily approved once you've been here paying taxes together with you ex-partner for 3 years? I know a friend that is in this situation but she's afraid to get divorced and they don't accept it.

Did she apply Retention ?
Base on Divorce or Base on Departure from state after 3 years .

She didn't as they are are still married. She's scared that she might lose her visa if they separate and immigration decides not to give her the retention. Any thoughts?

If she was in marriage more than 3 years, and at least 1 of them they lived in Ireland, at the moment of applying for divorce, she can apply for retention of her 5 year residence card on her own rights (if EU citizen is still in state and exercising EU rights in states (works, studying, etc), if not - there might be implications.
