I suppose that she may apply for confirmation of PR, as a family member of her grandmother. What are her parents' status?

I think you should bank on the child's mother acquiring PR status and registering the child as British.

If the child get PR status, that will not assist you at all, unless the child is 7 years old, otherwise exception 1 will not be engaged in your case.
