Spouse visa armed forces

Post by Baxter2960 » Fri Jun 02, 2017 11:56 am

Hi im wondering if you can help. Im in the process of making my wife's spouse visa. I currently serving in the armed forces. I have recieved information from someone about a specific spouse visa for armed forces and there partner, in which my wife will automatically go on to the 5 year route and not have to apply again at the 2.5 year route. Because i was applying by combining my salary and also my savings, im wondering is the financial requirement still the same for the 5 year route and the 2.5? As ive calculated my savings on the 2.5 year route not the 5 year. Does the requirement stay the same?

Thanks
Kyle

armed forces spouse visa

Post by Baxter2960 » Fri Jun 02, 2017 6:46 pm

Hi i'm wondering if i qualify for spouse visa Cat A as its a little confusing.

for the previous 6 months i have earned:

February £1609.12 basic pay £1525.48
March £1532.45 basic pay £1525.48
April £2186.70 basic pay £1540.73
May £1718.98 basic pay £1540.73
June £1718.98 basic pay £1540.73
July £1718.98 basic pay £1540.73

Total = 10,485.21(6 months) x 2 (12months) = 20,970.42 which is clearly over the financial requirement

June and July pay are estimates of what i should get on my payslips.
as you can see my 'basic pay' increased in February and March, will this make a difference?

the reason i have stated my pay from February is because before i was not earning enough and wasn't receiving para pay(specialist pay extra £178 per month)

Also with regards to my p60 from April 2016 - April 2017 my income shows around £17,000 which doesn't meet the requirement will this make the ECO refuse the application or will they just go by my latest payslips?

hopefully you can help

Thanks
