Track your application online

I just informed by one of my friend that there is a new service to check the status of your application.
So please don't waste your time to call home office when you can check online in seconds.
I would be grateful if any moderator can stick this topic so everyone can take maximum benefit.
Copy paste the link on browser.
You can also use the Royal Mail tracking number which was used to send your application.

Thank you for your valuable post. Link does work but only with Royal-mail tracking number. I did try case id, case ref and home reference.

Thanks Momi,
I applied my extension on march 8, 2017.
i had try yesterday but it was showing, The reference number has not been recognised.
so when i called to call center for this, they said reference no is ok and for check the status only option is online. please advice if you have any idea about this.

You can check it by entering your health surcharge number.

you can track using IHS number but all it will say is Awaiting Decision. May be because it's in trial stages right now.

It worked for me when I used the reference number without the '0' that's in the beginning.

I also got 'awaiting decision' not sure if that's accurate given what had been said above. It also says that it has been last updated on 25 May 2017.

This is really no different than when you call them.

"Awaiting decision" or "in process" is basically the same thing. Even then it goes to tell you that the stages are "open", "awaiting decision" and "decided".

So even if application is decided it won't tell you what the decision is online.

This link doesn't recognize my case id nor my IHS number. I tried my case id with and without 0.
Should i be worried and ring call centre?

Yes royal mail ref works for me.
The awaiting a decision update date for me is 21st April.

I have track my application to put surcharge refrence number it shows that decision is pending
And date of status updated shows on 11-04-2017

Where My friend got visa on 26 May and he apply on 19 January 2017, where I have track his status but is show that decision is panding and status update on 11-04-2017.

So guise please don't rely on this system is giving accurate and correct information.

There seem to be nothing special about this online service, It gives you the same generic answer. You cannot chase up a visa application in detail and I do not think such a thing will ever be available to migrants as it is not feasible.

I think they update before Bio Metrics Enrolment.
I sent my application 16th may
Got Bio Mat 20th may
Bio Met done 22ed may
AND Application status updated on 19 May 2017.

Post office Ref worked here.

The strange bit is last updated

My biometrics enrollment letter dated 25th April and that is the last Updated Date,so no update after that around 40 days
Applied 23rd March.

I haven't heard even a single refusal or approval in last 4 weeks. Only 1 updated on immigrationboard.
May be they will start sending decisions after election.

I have applied for extension on 11 January 2017 and bio-metric done on 31 January 2017.
Since then no update from Home Office.

I have checked the link using IHS number and its works.
Result showing for me is "Decided" Application status updated on 26 April 2017.
But I didn't receive any post or anything! Bit worried. I used my solicitor as my legal representative. Today I confirmed with them they didn't received any post or letter either.

I didn't received any Refund for IHS as well

Is there any one in similar situation?

This is exactly what I expected to happen with this so called service . This service is not helpful at all and seems to be a replacement for UKVI telephone support. Your application is most likely not decided despite what it reports

me too, I applied at 25 Jan, and I use the Royal Mail delivery number Result showing for me is "Decided" Application status updated on 26 April 2017. But I didn't receive any post or anything!

seems like that there is definitely some problem in the online tracking service i think you can't even now ring them to ask for an update I rang 03001232241 which I usually ring every week today they' said they are not giving updates anymore on the phone from 1st of June.

This thread is turning into another timeline discussion Please remember that THE ONLY OFFICIAL way for HO to communicate the result of visa application with you is through the post. If you did NOT hear anything yet, that means your application has NOT been decided or concluded yet.

They have clearly stated on the page "This is a trial service."

Give the HO some slack - they are trying but these will have have teething problems.
