Yea it does ask about history and medical use. HO will also have all his details and history on their system and they do check the NHS to see if there is outstanding fees.

Any NHS usage of £500 or more could result in a refusal. His overstaying will also be an issue as HO might suspect he will not leave the UK and is using the visitor visa just to gain entry.

I think the answer above was very clear, your husband could face issues with UK Home Office when trying to apply for a UK visa or transiting through the UK given his immigration history there.

Any chance he can travel directly to Ireland avoiding the UK? I think that would be his best choice given his immigration history in the UK.

Hello
I have been travelling uk few times with my wife no issue at all. I have stamp4eufam as well.
I have contacted one of the uk HO and they told me if i have artical 10 or 20 then i can travel with my partner I'm sure your H would have same stamp4eufam as me. If he is travelling alone then might be problem but i have taken few time risks luckly nothing happening but i would advice you should go together
Hope this help

I have eu fam stamp 4. my family living in uk temporary. so I have been going to uk every 2weeks for 7months now. and have never seen immigration once. or been stopped. just go to Ryan air deck and have ur boarding pass stamped and off u go. there are usually no immigration on flights coming from Ireland cos I used different airports in uk same thing all the best.

There are at Leeds Bradford, separate queue for Dublin flights, most annoying.

I just use my PPSN card or Irish driving licence to piss them off. It's perfectly legal under the CTA.
