Note that this address is different than the one given by VAC- VFS Mumbai North
Contacted UKVI on phone on 07.04.2017: To check why there is a different address mentioned. The representative took down the details to track down the documents and asked us to call back in 5 working days to check if the documents have been received by them. He was also told to escalate the matter for the difference in the address leading to this delay. He also provided us with a contact ID.
Contacted UKVI on phone on 18.04.2017: To check if the documents have been tracked and in process. To our shock there was no escalation and no documents tracked. We explained the situation and now escalated through email on the UKVI website. Both me and my husband emailed to track the documents and check if the documents are received and in process.
Email received on 18.04.2017 stating: Please note that your case has already been escalated and we are still waiting for a reply.
Sent a cover letter at the new address on 21.04.2017 stating date wise information on documents sent, delivery reciept and communication recieved from UKVI
Called UKVI on 11.05.2017 stating: Please note that your case has already been escalated and we are still waiting for a reply.
Called UKVI on 18.05.2017 stating: Please note that your case has already been escalated and we are still waiting for a reply.
Called UKVI multiple times. By now i must have spent approximately 20k on calls and emails just to get a status update.
The updates i have recieved the last two times were that my application is under consideration and is awaiting approvals- call 1- since 26th may; call 2- since 18th April. The first call was made on 1st june where my application was awaiting approvals sind 26th May and the second call that i made was on 8th June where they said its awaiting approvals since 18th April.
Didnt know which information was right so I emailed them yesterday asking for the status on email. (8th June)
Within 30mins i got an email which stated-

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Another response: 12/06/17 Following a Supreme Court judgment on Wednesday 22 February 2017, the Home Office has paused decision-making on some applications under Appendix FM to the Immigration Rules. The applications affected are those failing to meet the minimum income requirement for a spouse/partner visa and Appendix FM applications falling for refusal which involve a child.
