To the entry clearance officer,
I, my name, am delighted to be sponsoring the Spouse visa application for my wife,
her name.
I am a British citizen from birth, having been born in X on xx/xx/xxxx to British parents. I
am currently employed as x by x earning £24,230 per annum plus commission. (For reference on my commission earnings, please see payslips included in the evidence portfolio, I have earned over £5000 commission in the last 12 months). I have been in this position since 22/06/2015. My financial situation is good, I have no non-student debt and over £5000 in saved cash to supplement my income. You can find a full, stamped bank transaction history for both my current and savings accounts in the evidence portfolio supplied by her name.

I currently reside in a UK city name flat (address in letter header) having taken out a new tenancy
agreement specifically to move in with my wife when she arrives. Please find this tenancy agreement, alongside confirmation that the landlord, letting agent name, is aware of the fact her name will be living there once she is permitted, attached within the evidence portfolio submitted. As I
have recently rented this property I unfortunately cannot provide any utility or council tax bills as I
have not received them yet.

Her name and I first met one another while working at the same summer camp in the USA. We
were both contracted via agencies to work at camp X in Wisconsin for the
summer of 2012. After summer camp, I briefly returned to the UK before heading out to the USA
again to start a lengthy world travel trip. While I travelled, her name returned to Mexico to complete her degree and we spoke via social media (Facebook chat, mainly) every day that my connection to
internet allowed it.

Since our first summer at camp, her name has visited me in England on several occasions, and I have also visited her in Mexico for several long term periods. I have very much delighted in the Mexican
culture, and have learned Spanish to a fluent level in order to facilitate communication with her
family. We have both had extensive contact with one another’s families, including having lived as a
couple in both familial homes for periods of longer than a month at a time.

We have also been on holidays together to Paris, Marrakech, Punta Cana (The Dominican Republic)
as well as a return for a second summer in Wisconsin. During our times apart we have maintained
contact through Facebook voice and video calling, messenger, and skype, we have been in contact
constantly since we have been together, communicating every day where possible and often for
several hours on the phone.

We were married on the xx/xx/xxxx in city, Mexico after almost 5 years together. We chose
Mexico as her family would not have been able to afford a trip to the UK, and my family and friends
had that capability. We were together for 2 and a half weeks during this time and the day itself was a
fantastic occasion, the best day of my life by a margin. This was also a brilliant experience for us both
as it represented the first time where our combined families could meet face to face.

Evidence for all of this is attached in the portfolio where you will find flight confirmations,
photographs from times together and the wedding, and selected excerpts from our conversation
history among other items we consider to be relevant.

After the visa, our plans are to settle together in home city, where I already live and work, I hope
to be able to save between her working and my wages sufficiently to enable her name to undertake a PGCE and fulfil her dream of becoming a Spanish teacher in the UK as quickly as possible.

All required supporting material will be provided by her name on her appointment date, I hope that
you find these materials to be satisfactory and that we can begin our lives together in the UK as soon
as possible. If any further information is required, I will do my utmost to supply it as quickly as is
possible.

Many thanks,
My name

Hopefully we've got everything!

All the best and thanks in advance.

Hopefully we've got everything!

All the best and thanks in advance.
If you include documents which aren't required, you may risk essential documents being missed by the ECO.

Personally. I would omit the following:
" I hope to be able to save between her working and my wages sufficiently to enable her name to undertake a PGCE and fulfil her dream of becoming a Spanish teacher in the UK as quickly as possible."
The ECO may consider that her main aim (dream) is to obtain a visa to work as a Spanish teacher in the UK, rather than settle as your wife. Don't leave them any wriggle room.

By the way, your wife won't be attending an 'interview' on Tuesday. VFS Global are only handling agents for the Home Office (UKVI).

Confusion about spouse visa 'process'

Post by Spillbreak » Sat Jun 24, 2017 7:48 pm

Hi all,

Hope you can help me.

I am wondering, my wife has her biometric appointment this coming Tuesday. She will also be taking all our documents to submit for our spouse visa application.

After this, what happens next? Will there be face to face interviews? More appointments? We don't know what's happening next at the moment so any advice would be awesome! Thanks!

Please keep all your questions in a single topic. I have merged both for you.

There is no interview or more appointments. Once submitted, you wait, that's it. You/she will be notified when a decision has been made, or if there is a delay, or when ready for collection.

Kindly refrain from posting 3 party weblinks on the forum.

HO/UKVI will likely only interview if they have suspicions. It is not normal practice to interview.
