Maintenance amount

My Tier 2 Migrant Visa is up for extension.

Two queries please:

1. Maintenance amount: Does the amount for myself and my 3 dependants have to be reflected in one bank account, or can the total amount required be shown in 2-3 accounts as a combined amount present in all of these accounts?

2. Submission of documents: Going through the UKVI website ... it says that in addition to originals, copies of all documents need to be submitted. This is what I had done for my original leave to remain. However someone has said to me that if the application is done in-country (from within the UK), photocopies are not required ... only the originals need to be submitted.

1. Combination of account is allowed as long as the daily total in all the accounts does not fall below the minimum threshold.

2. Maybe it's not required. But, how much trouble is it to add a copy of the documents.
