Yes it will be a problem. The letter should explicitly mention you're still required for foreseeable future.Sara_wales wrote:Hi
I am going to apply for ILR based on my tier 2 route next week.
The problem is that my employer is going to issue me a standard letter which they believe they provide to everyone. The letter does not say 'foreseeable future' rather they write the end date of my contract.
Do you think it will be a problem? They said that many people have applied with this standard letter and they were successful.
Best
As far as I know they have to mention it. May be wati for gurus to respond.iworker wrote:if the end date is not immediate, i cant see why that should not be enough.
If it is all the same, on a company letterhead, etc. you probably need to submit only your line manager's letter.Sara_wales wrote:A huge thanks to both of you
I have managed to get a letter from my line manager with endorsement of 'required for forseeable future'. Everything what HR has written in their standard letter is in my line manager's letter as well except end date. He only writes that 'Dr xx is employed as a full time employee in xx and will continue to work with us after getting indefinite leave to remain. She will be required on this job for foreseeable future'
Do you think this will be OK, I will be presenting it along with my HR's standard letter.
