Schengen Visa Traveling to Canary Islands on French Schengen

I was issued a multiple entry Schengen Visa by French Consulate and I it is for a 6 month duration. I have already been to France for 4 days for a family wedding in June. Can I use this Visa to go on a 7 day holiday to Lanzarote. As the Visa is still active and is a multiple entry Visa it seems a shame to have to get another Schengen Visa from Spanish Consulate. Will I be allowed to enter Lanzarote (Canary Islands) on a French issues Schengen Visa?

Yes you can travel as long as it is valid and says it is multiple entry.
