I went to garda, to check my status, we didnot ask abt extension. she is very nice, she took my mother passport and stamped it for four moth extension, and said, if letter didnot come in one month take new gnib card. Usually they donot extend stamp 4 in any circumstance now til emergency travel or job. I am bit lucky this tome.

Hi What sort of travel details they asked that is very strange ..Did you or your spouse travel out of the country the length of your application is far beyond reasonable .

Hi
If spouse move from JOB to study / self sufficient it can be significant.

Eu citizen in that case may be asked source of income and corresponding bank statements. (preferably joint)

Since 2015 it was stated after a court ruling that it doesn't matter where the money come from but you have to show that the money.

I mysefl updated Eu treat with self sufficient status back in 2014 along with my work contract and joint bank statement

no the ruling was non eu spouse funds I-e assets etc etc can be consider as source of self sufficiency for eu spouse

now if the spouse is rich by inheriting money and not working at all his funds to his wife will suffice the self sufficient criteria for the EU spouse and on that ground non EU can enjoy the entitlement of residence

so the spouse work or where he/she work its all INSIGNIFICIENT :!: :!:

Thank for replying to make it clear are you saying one will be turned down if eu citizen was living on non eu spouse salary ? (Not talking about assets or lump sums just monthly pay )

no im certainly not saying that.

I just advise the gentlemen that non eu economic activities are not relevant for the eu treaty rights.

they will not turn down because you salary is a source of funds for your spouse which makes them self sufficient.

I am saying regardless of you working or not as long as you can provide for your eu spouse they can excerice the treaty rights by demonstrating that they are self suffiecient in the state and based on that ground you can apply for EU1.
thanks

togather
In my opinion write a cover note to eu treaty right section title it change in EU citizen current activites
in the cover note briefly explain the change of activity also quote that an email is also sent to eu treaty right section and attach following documents

supporting docs
1) letter from college (should have course title) fee receipt is not requested but I would include

2) comprehensive health insurance for you, your spouse and any dependent child (very important)

3)spouse bank statement and and/or joint bank account statement even better ( bank is your immediately available funds now if you also include your payslips that part will demonstrate future inflow of funds and that will also justify that she will not be becoming burden to state in near future as well)
4) send an email to eu treaty rights section print out that sent email and enclosed it with above document

extra docs optional
if your wife never access public fund in past ask her to go to social welfare office and ask them to give her a letter stating details of her claims off course this is to demonstrate that she have never claimed any they usually provide you there and then.

PS: im no lawyer or an expert but this is how I would notify them if I was in your shoes so maybe let some experts comment on my post then decide
thanks

Mal111 social welfare letter they wont give .. My wife requested they said as she never used social welfare there's not statement that can be issued. They also said many people are requesting that document so they contacted INIS to understand why this is requested but as now they will not issue any statement to anyone. I had to explain that i my EU3 application .
