tier s dependent visa application refusal

Post by SUEPAT » Sun Jul 23, 2017 11:41 pm

hi, am a tier 2 migrant working in uk since 2016 august and have now applied for my son to join me but visa was refused as i have not given sufficient evidence that am solely responsible for my son or there is no consent from his father since am the only parent in the uk. Please can you help by advising me on what documents needed to reapply and how would the letter of consent from his father be formulated? Thanks for your kind response

Kind regards,
Suepat

The refusal was correct.

Are you divorced?

See link below on some responsibility.

The father has been living outside Jamaica since 2008 November in u.'s but have been visiting my son and communicating by phone..What sort of documents would I need to reapply for a visa to show consentry of father and that as mother I have had sole physical custody of my Don since birh. THanks for kind reply.

If the father is named on the birth certificate the HO would expect to see official documents giving you some responsibility.

Thanks for your reply but can you say what official documents you're referring to?

Yes, child's father name on certificate. Why a court custody order and how /where would I get that done?

What evidence did you provide to prove that you had sole responsibility or that the father consents etc?

Have you read through the link I provided and all the links within it?

You can apply whenever for your husband.

Have you resolved the sole responsibility issue for your child?

I have received a letter of consent from the father allowing me to take him to England. I really have no documents to prove that my son has been with me since birth. Any advice?

Can you submit any evidence in writing that has been faxed or scanned to the UK visa office? The consent letter from my son's father has been faxed ,is that acceptable?

Please tell me if faxed or scanned written items of evidence are accepted by visa office since they asked for all documentary evidence you be original? For example the consent letter from my son's father has been faxed, is that ok?

It should ideally be original and have contact information for the parent who is signing it. It still might not be enough though.

If you need a letter of consent from child's father, then wouldn't it imply that you don't have sole responsibility?

I have had my son since birth. His father migrated to America when he was 8 months and only gave financial help sometime. I have been providing for him totally
