Change of job during spouse visa processing?

Post by pskukal » Fri Jul 28, 2017 4:39 pm

Hi,

I have applied for my wife's spouse visa who is based in INDIA. I am British Citizen based in London and currently working as a Project Manager in a leading Publishing company. This is my first job in the UK and It has just been 6 months into my job and i have applied for her spouse visa. i am earning a good package that is well above the financial requirement as per the spouse visa application.

Luckily i have been offered a new role in another organisation which has a better package than my current one. I wish to take up the offer, but before that i have some questions:

1) Can i change my job during my wife's application?
2) If yes, what do i need to tell the home office?
3) As this is my first job in the UK (only 9 months), will submitting the offer letter from the new organisation to the home office suffice?

Looking forward to your suggestions.

If you are not in rush to get spouse visa and new job is offering distinctively higher earning then you can job while updating to UKVI. Otherwise (preferably) wait until getting the spouse visa.

NOTE: During the process of visa if you changes the job and if the caseworker contacts your previous employer then maynot like to listen as you are not working there.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
