WHAT FEES FOR ENGAGING SOLICITOR?.

Post by ROBforSYLVIA » Tue Mar 04, 2008 8:56 pm

I am looking to engage a solicitor, or specialist company to handle my application. Can anyone advise about the average charge for this?

Couple of my friends applied through solicitors during december last year and they were charged around 1300 GBP, including the application cost.

But not sure about the other details.

Cheers,
SH

IMO the new guidance is a lot more detailed than it used to be and with the online checker too there is less need for a solicitor. I would just read the instructions and if you get stuck ask here or ring the HO.

Thanks for the replies......Conflicting advice has lead to headscratching! Contentious point just now, is earnings; is it from 12 of the last 15 months prior to applying for all applicants, or just for extensions? Keep wading through it: so considering engaging an expert.

Thanks, "Rely".... Well, I have posted the current poser, in my last posting. *Have been in UK for the past 15 months;working at 20 hours per week, on a low rate. Is this the period relavent to earnings, or are the previous earnings in my home country applicable?
