Hi
I am trying to track my application status via the link
https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/ ... visastatus
but I am getting this
Reference number not recognised
The reference number GWFXXXXXXXXX(Original number removed) has not been recognised.
Please try again or use a different reference number.
Has anyone also experiencing the same issue? Or if any has any other link to track the application. I have submitted the application on Monday 17 July 2017

Hi, i am getting the same message "REFERENCE NUMBER NOT RECOGNISED".
I applied for work permit in February and gave biometrics on 15th march and since then i haven't heard anything from home office. I tried to track my application status several times online but it always comes up with the same message.

Have you try the IHSXXXXXX number? When I use other reference numbers other than that I get the "try a different reference number" message as well.
My current status "Awaiting a decision"

I also applied on 17/07, got the Sheffield e-mail on 18/07 probably because I had applied using the priority the service and haven't heard anything since then. The UKVI shows - "reference number not recognized". Also made 2 calls to UKVI in the last week but they said that it is still under process.
I was supposed to join work from 01/08.

I did my biometrics on 29 May and I am still waiting to hear from the immigration. The status tracker shows my reference ID is not recognised. For those who managed to track your application, did you apply from inside or outside the UK? Because I thought the tracker was meant for applications made in the UK.

Applications from the Philippines can also be tracked. However, the tracker will say not recognized until a decision is made, after which it will say "DECIDED."

Thank you for the information. I applied in normal mode and have been waiting for 11 weeks now. It's really worrying.

A friend of mine applied on May 30th and got her visa just today. Tier 2 General visa. No reasons were given for the delay. And mind you she paid for priority. Can you believe it? It's crazy.

It's unbelievable. Did your friend get her case escalated to speed up the approval process?

Yes. She got her priority tier 2 visa after 55 working days. Unbelievable.

Do you know on which day after escalation did she get her visa?
I saw you updated your timeline and the Home Office is requesting your scanned copies of documents? Didn't you have your documents scanned at the VFS already?

Her case was escalated Aug2 and got her visa Aug9.
My documents were perfectly complete when I submitted them.
This issue is more common than we may think, them losing documents. Either that or vfs' system is horrible.

My case was escalated on 28 July and I haven't heard anything from the Home Office. Have you done what's been requested now?

Have you tried calling them and emailing them again?
Yes, I sent them right away after I received the email. So far there has been no acknowledgement that they received anything. For now I'm just going to wait just try to forget about it. Hehe

Yes, I have tried calling them and they said the status is 'awaiting approval' and they can't do much about it now. I will update here and the timeline once I hear anything.

Sent my documents August 10. Now the online tracker says DECIDED. Updated as of August 10.

I saw! You know, I can't track my status at all, even though over the phone they told me it's 'awaiting a decision'. I have used GWF, IHS, and the reference ID on escalation. I wonder why! Yours is a standard application right? Congratulations! Keep us posted please...

I re sent my documents August 10. They asked for IELTS certificate, TB certificate and Police Clearance, all of which I had originally submitted on July 7th. I scanned them and sent them to an email address that they gave me. And then they made the decision on the same day.
