Hi, Just created an account after seeing your reply. We are in the exact same boat.ctez wrote:Well in my case I submitted documents at VFS Hyderabad on 13th July, received same email as yours on 20th July and since then no communication either by email or SMS. I opted for regular processing since time wasn't an issue. But I expected them to get back within 3 weeks, it's been 4 weeks nowchristinar1087 wrote:hi,
Kindly let us know if was priority service that you applied or was it regular visa processing.
Thanks for reply and all the best let us know when you receive the email.
It is just unacceptable for them to keep us all in the dark like this. Good luck! hope you hear from them soon and please let us know if there are any updates.christinar1087 wrote:Hi,
Same here opted for regular processing and not priority cause of the time i had with me.
Tier 4 are having delays now days except the piority ones which are only 2 cases we saw on other threads. You can check other threads which shows delays in overall for both returning and new students both .christinar1087 wrote:Hi All,
All of us in this discussion have one common thing and that is "Chennai".Is it that there is some issue with this processing centre for the delay.
This wait is frustrating and testing most of our patience.
As the previous poster said the delays may not be unique to Chennai, but the processing centre there seems to be exceptionally and consistently slower than the others, as Im yet to come across a poster who had received his/her passports having applied in early/mid July.christinar1087 wrote:Hi All,

Still nothing. What's wrong with them? Are they planning to process our visas in september or something?christinar1087 wrote:hi mugtiaya annd mahbolla

I didn't know about this. Is there a way to find out for which countries/areas they've done this?Chooka_v wrote:There are global delays in the student visa process.
All applications *should* be processed within 30 days as their time frame states.
I have seen applications take up to 3/4 weeks.
They moved the decision centre for many countries to the UK and, unsurprisingly, they are now overwhelmed with the number of applications and things are bottle necking.
There is no current information on exactly which, but I believe they will be moving all decision centres to the UK for most countries by 2018.Mugatiya26 wrote:I didn't know about this. And by 30 days, did you mean 30 working days, or inclusive of the weekends?
Sorry for the questions, just super frustrated cos it's over a month since I gave my biometrics.
