No. This is a completely different visa category to Ancestry. She must apply with the same options as your husband.Skye:
Reason for visit: study
Visa Type:Study (non points-based system)
Visa Sub type: Student dependent
I would also like to find out how much money I need to have in my bank account to prove I can support myself and my dependents.
Yes, she must apply in the same category as you and your husband.Just to confirm my daughter would come under the work section as she is only 10.
Simply state, if there is a block to write a blurb, that you are seeking work and will be doing XYZ (whatever your career field is). You need to submit evidence of your intent to work, i.e. all the emails of applications you have done or communication with agents.I also wanted to ask, under the sponsor section on the dependent application form there is a section to fill in on what work your sponsor will be doing, I do not have a job offer yet although I have been applying for jobs and have some responses to ask I contact them closer to the time, what do I fill in under this section?
Will it be ok for all of us to apply together?
No it is not. You can ask for the visa to be post dated by up to three months but the actual visa vignette you get in your passport is only valid for 30 days and you must travel within the 30 days and then within 10 days of arriving in the UK, collect your biometric residence cards from the nominated Post Office.Sorry I also wanted to ask, the time period to get to the UK once you apply is 3 months? I have really been struggling to find information and I would really prefer not to use an agent.
Yes, HO started rolling it out a couple of years ago for two particular countries and then the last year or so for everywhere else. Previously the visa vignette in the passport was valid for the full 5 year duration.Christina1986 wrote:So if I apply in the beginning on October and get my visa back 3 weeks later I have 30 days from then to get to the UK? Is getting a biometric residence card a new thing when you get an ancestry visa because as far as I know my sister didn't have to do that?
