Dear friends,
I meet all criteria except for the fact that on final year having absence of 93 days. If i need to apply within 90 days period, i need to wait for 3 months down the line. I booked the appointment in couple of days and going with 93 days absence during 14 Aug 2016 to 14 Aug 2017. I went for personal trip and not business.
I see that in Naturalization guidance document, the following point is mentioned
Total number of absences normally disregarded 100 days.
How ever in naturalization application form, where and how do i mention about this that i am requesting for this special discretion to be applied. The closest match i can see is in section 7.7 (see below) . Can i declare that in ? Pls help me... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
7.7 *I declare that, although I do not meet all of the statutory requirements for
naturalisation, I believe that, in view of the following special circumstances, the
Home Secretary should treat me as fulfilling those requirements or waive the need
in my case to fulfil them.
*Delete if not applicable
Special circumstances – which requirements do you think you fail to meet and what are the
special circumstances? If you do not meet the statutory requirements to become a British citizen
are there any special circumstances why you think the Home Secretary should still grant your
application? (continue on page 22 if necessary).
