Hi there. Oh my goodness. Im so sorry to hear about what youre currently experiencing. Yesterday was my 15th working day since my visa appearance at VFS Manila. So far havent received any feedback thru text or email. To be honest this whole waiting thing is driving me a little crazy.
Did you apply under priority service? Its already 2 months since my visa appearance under priority service. Still no update from VFS. I emailed UKVI like "a lot" of times already and they told me to just wait. This is killing me..
Yes I have applied priority visa. No news, emails & sms.
40 working days gone.

What have you done? Did you email or call ukvi? I emailed them they say my case has already been escalated and I have to wait 15 days. Hoping and praying for positive results.

According to my experience during visa process, escalation, contact with e-mail or call to ukvi do not change anything. Because I did all and nothing change, they do whatever they want. What i did different that I informed the company and they contacted to ukvi instead of me. But i do not think their call effected them to make decision.

As a result, you just wait and try to be patience and until you get your passport back you can not be sure that you have visa or not. I can say only that everybody will get some response from ukvi in 12 weeks. Because they made my decision at the last day of 12 weeks. I am only happy that they have approved my application and now i am able to move to UK in 20 days.

Good luck to everybody.

Hi everyone! I'm from the Philippines and bound for August 17 departure.. Had my VFS appointment last Aug. 3 in Manila and availed of the priority service. It got my hopes high that I'd be able to receive my passport back right away since it is indicated that priority service would only take 3-5 working days. However, 5 working days went by, and up until now, I haven't got any updates from them. This is quite stressful.. mentally, and I feel so helpless.. I won't be able to join the August 17 departure because of the delay brought about by reasons I know nothing about. <\3

Don't worry. You're not the first person who has had to cancel/rebook flights because of a delayed visa. The UKVI system is really lovely, to be honest. Nothing we can do but wait. I had to wait 25 working days for a decision. I know some who had to wait for 50 working days. Some get theirs on time, some in a month, some in two months, regardless if they paid for priority service. The best you can do at this point is to call UKVI and pressure them to have your case escalated, so you can get a decision sooner. Hope they didn't lose any of your documents like what happened to me. Good luck.

Hi! Our visa application was filed on the same day. I, too, applied for a priority service with the hopes that it'll be released on the 11th. I emailed them just last Saturday and will expect a reply from them by tomorrow. Hopefully, a worthwhile explanation can be given. It's so frustrating since that additional pay for the priority service was straight out of my own pocket and will never be refunded by the employer.

Even if you paid for priority service, it won't matter to them. The worst thing is they won't even apologize or give any explanation for the delay. They will only tell you to wait and there's nothing we can do about it. That's how lovely their system is. They say they need nurses, but the people at UKVI are so incompetent. Wish they'd also have high demand for UKVI personnel to give more jobs to unemployed Filipinos. For sure we are more competent than them. Hahaha.

Well, what a crappy situation we all are in right now. I still am hoping for a release within this month though. This application from the very start has been very frustrating. I've been emotionally messed up for over a year now. Sigh.

During your VFS appointment, did they get your original documents? They did not get mine, except for my passport. The lady at the helping desk was the one who arranged and placed all my papers in the envelope telling me that everything's okay and ready for submission, and so I did as told. The staff who catered me did not ask for my original documents either, she just photocopied everything so that I could have my own copies, the process was very smooth, which made me expect that everything will work out fine. But now that I am so bothered as to why my visa took so long, it occured to me that maybe there's a need to submit my original documents along with the photocopies. My COS will be expiring this October, so I really hope I could fly to UK within September. I feel like I've wasted so mich time already. And due to the fact that they don't even bother giving an update, it made me agree that indeed, they are so lovely. <\3

Nope. I, too, offered to hand over my original documents but they refused to take it. Instead, they had all my papers in copied in A4 scanned, did the biometrics after and went home. I received an email of confirmation the next day. I was hoping the it'll be released within the time frame they've given, but no, it did not. Such a waste of time, money, and emotions. I heard somewhere that August usually is when most offices in the UK are understaffed because people are taking a leave for the summer. This, I think, is probably the reason behind all the current delays.

Lose your documents? 50 working days? Those are really stressful scenarios to think about, but yeah, I hope I won't go through the same fate. Patience at its finest. (@_@)

Thank God. I went through the exact same process. I really thought that the reason for delay was my failure to provide the original documents. I guess this is the effect of being too frustrated. Well, I still am, it just leveled down a bit knowing that I'm not the only one who's going through this limbo. Hahaha.

I got a reply from UKVI just today about my enquiry with regards to the status of my application. I didn't get any solid reason as to why, this is just what they wrote;

"Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International enquiry service.

In regards to your query about the status of your application, your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision. Currently there is further review of your visa applications and hence the delay, your patience will be highly appreciated.

Please note that the onus is upon individual customers to ensure that they satisfy the requirements set out in the guidance material. The guidance material accompanies each and every application form. UK Visa and Immigration is not able to give, indicate or advise upon the outcome of any such application prior to it being given full and careful consideration.

Directing you to the guidance material is the only advice we can give you. If you need any further help you should seek independent immigration advice. Immigration advisors can help you with immigration matters, including completion of forms and representing you at a tribunal. The Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) regulates immigration advisors, which means they must meet certain standards."

I just don't get the point, we probably complied the exact same documents that those who got their visa on time did. Tsk!. Anyways, when is your date of departure?

My start date in the cos was supposedly last 24th of July. However, since my agency failed to pay the fees on time, my visa appointment was filed just last 2nd of August. I applied for a priority service to catch up with the lost time, but look where we are now. Such misfortune we have. Anyway, I knoe someone who filed last 1st of August and received her feedback yesterday, so im keepijg my fingers crossed that hopefully, within this week, we get ours too.
